Friday Photos

It’s been a busy week!  In the past 10 days, we’ve gotten 35 inches of snow, hosted two separate events with 15+ people for the mother’s forum, had four snow days, Greg’s birthday, and I’ve come down with a cold.  Needless to say, I did not put in a ton of miles this past week…. but I did do some shoveling and have a lot of fun with my family and friends.

Here are some glimpses from our week!

Hope you’re staying warm 🙂

After the first two snow storms Greg shoveled the deck. After the third, I made a snowman. This is a photo after the fourth snowstorm.

We have a little snow up here.

Making Greg’s birthday cake. Will is counting the scoops of cocoa powder while Andrew measures and dumps.

I measure sensitive ingredients like the baking powder, but there’s a little wiggle room with cocoa and oil so I let them go to town. They’re surprisingly precise.

They put the spinach leaves in this smoothie themselves!

We have a food dehydrator! Apple chips, banana chips, and lime slices (which can be used in coconut lime soups, I heard).

Best Facebook comment ever from one of my best friends when I posted this photo of the boys making waffles for Greg’s birthday breakfast: “Those don’t look like overnight waffles. Minus 10 points.” So much love 🙂

Carrots, peanut butter and chocolate chips on toast, and a spinach pineapple chia smoothie. Random, but kind of a complete dinner.

  1. Your little guys are adorable! We have about the same amount of snow here in Chicago, it’s crazy! I’m so ready to run outside again.
