DO IT!!!  START RUNNING!!! IT’S AWESOME!!!

Here are some posts that I think are specifically helpful for beginning runners!  I still remember what it felt like to run for five minutes for the first time without stopping.  Beginning runners are some of the most amazing people out there, because they put in all the effort without the reassuring knowledge of success and what it’ll feel like afterwards to keep them going.  If you’re new to running, and you’re getting out there and working at it, you are a motivated and incredible person and you have great things coming.  Congratulations, and welcome to the club!

When I first started this blog, I primarily hoped to connect to other new runners.  Yet as I write this, I’ve moved on to half marathons and sprint triathlons.  If I’d clicked onto this blog when I was starting Couch to 5k, I would’ve thought, yeah right, you’re a beginning runner.  I’m nervous about trying to run for 90 seconds without stopping, and you’re running a half marathon!

So, I’ve come pretty far.  But if there’s one thing I’ve learned about running, it’s that all of us as runners have a lot to talk about.  Hills.  Going when we want to stop.  How good it feels when we accomplish something we worked hard towards.  PRs.  Running in the rain, in the dark, in the heat, whenever we can.  Whether you’re training for your first 5k or your next marathon, we’ve got a lot that connects us.

I now hope my blog will appeal to new and experienced runners alike, as I ramble on about living the best running life I can.
