  1. Congrats! Can’t wait to read all the details!!! Happy bday 😉

  2. Congratulations! You make it look effortless.

    1. That’s awesome… because it was SO NOT! I was so happy that Greg got my running photo at mile 9 and at the finish, because there were these insane hills from mile 4-7 and if he’d photographed me at mile 8 everyone would have thought I was a zombie!

  3. Ahh! You did it baby!!! I have tears!! Well done! Can’t wait to hear all about it. I’m so proud! I just feel so great. I’m a mum of preschoolers and have depression and am a beginner runner and I hope to be where you are one day.. So proud! Well done Kelly!

    1. Thank you Jensie! I’m so touched to hear how pleased you are for me, it was a huge accomplishment and working so hard in preparation and then during the race made me so proud to finish, and in the time that I did. I struggled with postpartum depression after my second was born, and running changed my life – I hope it can help you as much as it helped me. There’s a real, chemical change in your brain when you get flooded with positive endorphins from aerobic exercise, and it has helped me a great deal. I wish you the very best, and hope to keep hearing from you that you’re doing well!

    1. Thanks Ivayla! Can’t wait to hear about your upcoming half!

  4. Thank you, everyone, so much! I will reply more soon – but it’s been a crazy weekend and with a post scheduled for the morning I am off to bed!

  5. Hi, I just found your blog. I am a new runner, with 2 young kids (27 months and 8 months). I loved reading your story about your improvements…very inspiring.

Happy Birthday and congrats on your race!

    1. Thanks Michelle! Your blog title is one of the best I’ve heard, I love it! It’s nice to hear from another mother runner with really young kids! I wish you the absolute best with your running journey and I’m excited to check out your blog, since, obviously, I run more than errands too 🙂

  6. Well done! What an accomplishment and (no pun intended)look how far you’ve come?!? I hope that this isn’t the end of your blog and that you will keep aspiring and inspiring others (like me)!! Hope your birthday was amazing…I know that it had to have been with this monumental accomplishment!

    1. Definitely not the end of my blog! Or my running. I think in both respects that I am just getting started 🙂

  7. Congratulations and happy birthday!

  8. Congrats, Kelly! Looks like you did it with grace and style, and under your (secret) goal time. Way to go!

And Happy Birthday, as well. 🙂

  9. I know I’m late to the party, but congrats from me too!!

    1. Thanks Mair!
