So jealous that you are surrounded by the beautiful fall trees! I grew up in northeast PA and we had beautiful falls. Now I’m in Arizona (military) and seeing cacti out my window doesn’t hold a candle to the reds, oranges, and yellows of fall on the east coast. Enjoy!
Oh I envy you your changing colours of autumn! We have so many gum trees over here so there’s not much changing colours in my neck of the wood in autumn! We do however have beautiful spring blossoms on some of the gum trees at the moment, and the cherry blossoms haven’t long finished, so our spring is really pretty. The azaleas are just finishing and the glorious purple jacarandas will be flowering next month. And we’re expecting a hot summer – we’ve already had a few 30+ C days and it’s still only spring! How cold does it get in your winter? How short are your days in the middle of it?

Totally normal. It’s crisp, and I love that the air smells like the promise of cold, such a clean scent!
